Job summary

Becton Dickinson is seeking a Senior Manager, BD Excellence - R&D and Innovation, UCC to accelerate innovation and product development while upholding quality, safety, and regulatory standards. This leader will deploy the operating system, capabilities, and continuous improvement practices to move priority products from insight to launch with speed and discipline.

The role connects Upstream Marketing, Innovation, Engineering, and Commercial teams to translate user needs into rapid prototypes,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 5 years of demonstrated R&D or product-development experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional product initiatives end-to-end.
• Knowledge of phase-gate development, risk, and design controls.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Ability to influence in a global matrix.

Responsibilities

• Partner with R&D and Innovation leaders to deploy BD Excellence strategy.
• Improve readiness, schedule quality, and critical-path execution.
• Deploy Obeya and velocity scorecards for transparency.
• Lead Kaizens and structured problem solving.
• Enhance product maturity from insight through launch.
• Balance speed with quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
