The Department of Family and Community Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a caring, compassionate and reliable BCM Temporary - Medical Assistant to support the clinicians providing primary care services to private practice patients. The candidate will assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the physician. The main responsibilities include interviewing patients, measuring vital signs (i.e. pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height) and recording information on patient electronic charts using EPIC. Shifts will include 7:30-4:30, 8:00-5:00, or 9:30-6:30, Monday- Friday.
This position is temporary and the maximum assignment length is 3 months. The position is not eligible for benefits.
The Kirby location offers free parking.
Performs patient care responsibilities and provides clerical/administrative support in a clinical setting.
