Job summary

Atlas Home Health is seeking a Behavior Technician–Paraprofessional to support Intensive Behavioral Support Services for children and adults with autism and developmental disabilities. You will work one-on-one under a BCBA in home and community settings, providing structure and positive guidance.

We offer 40 hours of initial training, ongoing supervision, and coaching. Shifts are approximately 25 hours per week with some evenings, weekends, and holidays based on client needs in the North Bay

Qualifications

• At least 6 months experience with people with developmental disabilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent; we provide 30-hour competency training.
• An associate degree in a human services field or a behavior-related certification qualifies.
• Patience, consistency and respect for the people you support.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Valid CPR/first aid training.

Responsibilities

• Follow each client’s behavior support plan during everyday routines at home and in the community.
• Teach communication, coping, safety and daily-living skills.
• Use positive, approved strategies to prevent and calm difficult moments.
• Track behavior and progress data and write clear session notes on a tablet or phone.
• Keep your BCBA and the family informed about what you’re seeing.
