Job summary

Soar Autism Center in Scottsdale, AZ, is seeking practicum students pursuing BCBA hours. This full‑time hourly role offers paid unrestricted hours, structured supervision, and hands‑on clinical experience.

You will work under a Local Clinical Trainer and gain exposure to ESDM, family guidance, and interdisciplinary collaboration across the care team. The Apex Program supports development toward becoming a BCBA, with potential for promotion within 6–9 months of testing readiness.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in or recently completed a Master’s program in ABA or related field that meets BCBA coursework requirements.
• Actively accruing practicum hours toward BCBA certification.
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with children and families.
• Emerging skills in case conceptualization, client programming, and clinical planning.
• Emerging skills in coaching and supporting RBTs.
• Strong desire to learn, grow, and receive feedback.

• Interest in growing into a future BCBA role.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a case supervisor for client cases, with scope determined by center needs, clinical readiness, and program progress.
• Accrue paid unrestricted hours through client programming, supervision, family guidance, assessment, and other BCBA‑aligned responsibilities.
• Update client goals and programming using Soar’s electronic data collection platform.
• Provide support and supervision to RBTs, with coaching and feedback from BCBAs.
• Participate in ESDM‑specific trainings to grow your clinical skillset.
• Learn to develop Behavior Intervention Plans using approaches such as Practical Functional Assessment and Skill‑Based Treatment.
• Support family treatment guidance meetings using Soar’s in‑house curriculum.
• Assist with assessments and reassessments for clients, including exposure to tools such as the Vineland, QABF, FAST, and ESDM Curriculum Checklist.
• Receive coaching and feedback from your Local Clinical Trainer, Partner Clinician, and other BCBAs in your clinic.
• Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration with Speech‑Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and other members of the integrated care team.
• Provide direct client therapy as part of your full‑time role, with the weekly mix of direct therapy and unrestricted activities determined by center needs and program progress.
