Job summary

Golden Steps in Beltsville, MD seeks a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to develop evidence-based ABA programs, supervise RBTs, and guide families for successful outcomes. The role requires coordinating with the treatment team and external providers, with a focus on data-driven assessments and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• BCBA certification or sitting for exam within one month.
• LBA (if applicable).
• Background check required.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication.
• Must have a reliable car and driver's license for commuting to the clinic.
• Experience working with developmental disabilities and/or behavior challenges with ABA.
• Must be able to lift up to 35lbs.
• Bending and squatting for up to an hour per day.
• Required to perform activities involving fine and gross motor skills, bending, kneeling, squatting, sitting on floor or chair, or standing for periods.

Responsibilities

• Develop meaningful, evidence-based, hierarchical programming based on data, progress, and continued client assessment.
• Provide ongoing direct and indirect training and supervision to RBTs on the patient caseload.
• Provide ongoing direct and indirect family guidance necessary for programming success.
• Conduct consistent communication with all treatment team members.
• Participate in collaborative efforts with other service providers outside of Golden Steps.
• Review data on a timely basis and communicate with team members when needed.
• Maintain professional boundaries as indicated by the BACB.
• Perform comprehensive initial intake and recurring assessments.
• Manage discharge and transition planning for children on the caseload.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
