Job summary

SMART STEPS ABA LLC is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in Los Angeles to lead development and implementation of evidence-based ABA interventions for individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism. You will assess clients, design personalized plans, and work with families and professionals to promote meaningful progress.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and ABA.
• Proven experience working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
• Strong data collection skills to track behavioral progress.
• Excellent patient assessment abilities with a focus on behavioral health diagnostics.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards.
• Ability to develop tailored intervention strategies rooted in special education principles.
• Compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on empowering clients through positive reinforcement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed diagnostic evaluations and functional behavior assessments to identify client needs and strengths.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data to measure client progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly.
• Provide training and supervision to behavior technicians and support staff to ensure fidelity of intervention delivery.
• Collaborate with families, educators, medical professionals, and other stakeholders to coordinate care and ensure consistency across environments.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation, treatment records, and compliance with HIPAA regulations to safeguard client confidentiality.
• Participate in intake assessments and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings for comprehensive patient evaluation.
