Description

Job Purpose: Delivers quality healthcare based on extensive knowledge and understanding of childhood diseases and epidemiology. Establishes trust with patients and families to facilitate professional medical relationships focused on maintaining good health and effectively treating and preventing diseases and illnesses.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop informed diagnoses based on technical knowledge and the child's medical history.
  • Perform thorough examinations on newborns and children to monitor and record their health and physical development.
  • Diagnose medical conditions by performing examinations and learning symptoms through questioning.
  • Assess and treat injuries; refer to other physicians if appropriate.
  • Inform parents about children’s diet, exercise, and disease prevention.
  • Recommend and interpret lab tests to identify infections or defects.
  • Dispense vaccines according to governmental guidelines.
  • Prescribe medications and provide clear instructions for use.
  • Maintain confidential records of medical history and events.
  • Participate in professional development to stay current with pediatric advancements.
  • Perform related duties as required.

  • Skilled in diagnostic, treatment, and rehabilitation principles.

Requirements
