Job summary

KGO-TV/ABC7, part of The Walt Disney Company, is seeking an accredited meteorologist or experienced weather anchor to produce and present daily forecasts for newscasts and digital platforms in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The role involves using weather software to forecast for multiple broadcasts and the 24/7 live stream, with shifts on weekdays or weekends mornings or evenings as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in meteorology or related field.
• Meteorology degree required.
• AMS Seal preferred (certification).

Responsibilities

• Produce and present daily weather forecasts for newscasts.
• Use weather software systems to create and present forecasts.
• Create forecasts for digital and social platforms and for the 24/7 live stream.
