Job summary

KGO-TV/ABC7 Eyewitness News in San Francisco, CA is seeking an accredited meteorologist or experienced weather anchor to deliver daily forecasts for on-air, digital and social platforms. Use weather software to create forecasts for multiple newscasts and the 24/7 live stream.

Will provide live coverage during significant weather and breaking news events. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology; AMS Seal preferred; SAG-AFTRA Newspersons Agreement applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology required.
• Prior on-air weather reporting experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the San Francisco Bay Area.
• AMS Seal certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Producing and presenting on-air forecasts.
• Writing weather digital stories and engaging with social audiences.
• Reporting from the field during weather events or stories.
