You'll work in the office and on assignments, chase breaking stories, and develop skills in writing, visuals, and social multimedia while collaborating with editors and fellow interns throughout the season.

Qualifications

• This position will be full‑time, based in the Bay Area, paid at $20.50/hr.
• Weekend, evening and holiday work may be required as news and games warrant.
• This paid 12‑week internship typically begins in June and lasts through August, but there is some flexibility to accommodate college schedules.

Responsibilities

• Receive training and mentoring from editors and colleagues across departments.
• Work and train within a cohort of more than a dozen summer interns.
• Report and write news articles for the Chronicle and SFChronicle.com that reflect the diversity of experiences and coverage of multiple sports teams in the Bay Area.
