Job summary

ERM is seeking a Consultant, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. The role focuses on delivering on-site EHS solutions, regulatory compliance, and program implementation for Fortune 500 clients across multiple industries.

Travel up to 40 hours per week within Northern California is expected. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2+ years of EHS experience, with strong communication skills and knowledge of US EHS regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Engineering, Engineering, or related science required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal EHS regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills—clear, concise, and client-focused.

Responsibilities

• Help develop and implement innovative safety programs for local and global clients.
• Perform safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections.
• Support EHS permitting requirements.
• Conduct audits, onsite compliance inspections, risk assessments, and industrial hygiene evaluations.
• Collect and analyze field data; prepare technical reports and recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement EHS programs and strategies.
• Ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance across all deliverables.
