Job summary

Skyworks Solutions is seeking a talented Co-Op for the development of new high-frequency BAW filter modules. The selected student will join the BAW design team to design, develop, and deliver next-generation BAW filters for WiFi, Automotive, Infrastructure, and IoT customers.

The role emphasizes simulations, feasibility and topology studies, and technology assessments. Onsite work in Andover, MA is required from January through May/June 2027, with periodic international team meetings.

Qualifications

• Student enrolled in an MSEE/PhD program in acoustics (BAW preferred).
• Available to begin January 2027.
• Periodic online meetings with our international team are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform feasibility simulations and topology studies for BAW filters.
• Evaluate stack parameters and trade-offs; compile results for design reviews.
• Tape out new filter designs and perform EM simulations as needed.

Skyworks Solutions is seeking a talented Co-Op for the development of new high-frequency BAW filter modules. The selected individual will join the BAW design team focused on the design, development, and delivery of next-generation BAW filter designs to Skyworks' WiFi, Automotive, Infrastructure, and IoT customers. The successful candidate will utilize simulations, feasibility & topology studies, and technology assessments to deliver compelling products and help drive advanced technology development. We are seeking a student to work onsite in our Andover, MA design center from January - May/June 2027.

Responsibilities

• Work activities include: mason level circuit feasibility simulations, topology studies, evaluation of stack parameters, and their trade-offs
• Compiling complicated results and sharing with the team in a clean, concise, well-organized format or design review
• Tape out new filter design
• EM simulations as necessary

Required Experience and Skills

• University student, currently enrolled in an MSEE/PhD Program in the field of acoustics (BAW preferred, but will consider other similar acoustic fields)
• Must be able and available to work starting January 2027
• Periodic online meetings with our international team is a requirement

Desired Experience and Skills

• Strong understanding of BAW device physics is a plus
• Good understanding of ladder filter topology and design techniques is also a plus

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
