Job summary

Skyworks Solutions is seeking a talented Co-Op for the development of new high-frequency BAW filter modules at our Andover design center. The selected student will join the BAW design team to design, develop, and deliver next-generation BAW filter designs for Skyworks’ WiFi, Automotive, Infrastructure, and IoT customers.

The role will use simulations, topology studies, and technology assessment. The student will work onsite in Andover, MA from June/July to Nov/Dec 2027, gaining hands-on

Qualifications

• University student currently enrolled in an MSEE/PhD program in acoustics (BAW preferred, but will consider other similar acoustic fields).
• Must be able and available to work starting June/July 2027.
• Periodic online meetings with our international team is a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Mason level circuit feasibility simulations, topology studies, evaluation of stack parameters, and their trade-offs.
• Compiling complicated results and sharing with the team in a clean, concise, well-organized format for design review.
• Tape out new filter design.
• EM simulations as necessary.

The selected individual will join the BAW design team focused on the design, development, and delivery of next-generation BAW filter designs to Skyworks’ WiFi, Automotive, Infrastructure, and IoT customers. The successful candidate will utilize simulations, feasibility & topology studies, and technology assessmentstodeliver compelling products and help drive advanced technology development. We are seeking a student to work onsite in our Andover, MA design center from June/July to Nov/Dec 2027.

Desired Experience and Skills

• Strong understanding of BAW device physics is a plus
• Good understanding of ladder filter topology and design techniques is also a plus

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $29.00 - $49.00 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
