Job summary

The Battery Innovation Center seeks a Test Engineer to design, execute, and manage energy storage testing within the Test & Evaluation group. You will engage with customers, quote and manage battery testing projects and programs, ensuring high-quality results and adherence to procedures.

You will prepare testing scripts, analyze data, monitor project progress, and coordinate calibration, safety, and audits.

Qualifications

B.S. degree in Electrical, Systems, or equivalent Engineering program.
5-7 years of program management.
Experience in advanced product/applications-based testing and evaluation.
5-7 years of battery testing experience.
Solid understanding of electrochemical and mechanical properties of batteries and energy storage systems, including analysis.
Technical advisory and presentation skills.
Experience with microgrids and power electronics is a plus.
Programming and automation experience is required.

Responsibilities

Design, execute, and manage energy storage testing within the Test & Evaluation group.
Prepare scripts for testing protocols and analyze/test data reports.
Engage with customers, quote and manage battery testing projects and programs.
Monitor project status, resource needs and progress, communicating findings to stakeholders.
Ensure calibration and maintenance of lab equipment and safety compliance.
Lead and mentor technical personnel and coordinate audits and supplier interactions.
