Job summary

Belcan Corporation in Berkeley, CA is seeking an Engineering Technician to install, commission, test, operate, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems in prototypes. Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on technician experience with high-powered equipment.
• Experience with battery or solar systems is a plus.
• Able to read electrical schematics and single-line diagrams.
• Familiar with PLC systems and industrial networking basics.
• Safety-conscious with high-voltage safety training.
• Proficient in documenting tests and using Jira.
• Comfortable with lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, test, operate, and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems in prototypes.
• Support battery module prototype installation and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical/mechanical failures.
• Wire and assemble control, power, and data circuits with high precision.
• Execute test plans and report performance data.
• Maintain lab spaces and logs for knowledge sharing.
