Job summary

Motive Energy is seeking a Field Service Technician to troubleshoot and repair batteries, chargers, and handling equipment with a strong customer-service focus. The role requires multitasking multiple calls daily and maintaining accuracy, discretion, and clear communication.

The candidate will operate service vehicles, uphold safety standards, and coordinate with management and sales on customer issues while promoting additional products and services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; two-year technical degree preferred.
• 1–3 years in battery industry or related field service experience.
• Commercial Driver License with hazmat endorsements, or ability to obtain.
• Forklift training certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Fill out work orders properly and timely.
• Convey information to customer contacts to ensure satisfaction.
• Identify safety and EPA issues and address them.
• Operate and maintain service vehicle per manufacturer specs.
• Practice safety and good housekeeping at customer sites and in shop.
• Drive company vehicles safely and courteously.
• Report customer issues to management and sales.
• Promote POS items and allied services.
• Represent Motive Energy professionally and maintain brand standards.
• Operate forklift and reach truck regularly.
