Job summary

Trojan Battery Company is seeking a Stacking Operator in Santa Fe Springs, CA. The role involves sorting, assembling and stacking groups of lead plates and separators to form a complete battery group, ensuring correct counts and adherence to schedule.

You will operate safely with required PPE, maintain 5S cleanliness on the line, and participate in cross-training for related table moving and balancing tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or higher required.
• Minimum six months’ experience in production, construction, warehouse, or similar work environment
• Basic English proficiency to interpret work and safety instructions

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply the Quality policy.
• Identify plates and separator types for each battery.
• Detect and report defective materials.
• Dispose of contaminated materials in appropriate containers.
• Cross-train in table moving function to perform this function as required.
• Follow and maintain Lead activities (5S, good housekeeping, and hygiene practices).
• Must be clean shaven.
• All employees must follow strict hygiene rules including mandatory showering and lunch periods on site.
• Identify where the emergency stops are and why you would use them.
• Perform duties of Mid-Level as assigned.
• Perform minor preventative maintenance and inspect tables.
• Learn Production goals for required output and performance standards.
• Familiar with all tooling & maintain them properly & in proper location.
• Cross-train in Tiegel burning and balancing function to perform as required.
• Cross-train in table moving function to perform this function as required.
• Maintain productivity level at or above 85%.
