Job summary

Motive Energy Inc. in Texas is seeking a Shop Technician I to perform battery repair, preparation for shipment, and related maintenance. You will use standard tools, operate machinery, and may transport materials to offsite locations.

Responsibilities include safety, loading/unloading, quality checks, offsite service visits and forklift operation. Requires high school diploma, basic MS Office, forklift certification or willingness to train, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; required.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the internet.
• Forklift certification or willingness to train.
• 2 weeks of training provided.
• Clean and current Driver's license (MVR check) in applying State.
• Experience with soldering and welding equipment.

Responsibilities

• Practices safety and good housekeeping in all circumstances.
• Loads and unloads truck.
• Prepares new product for shipment.
• Discharges any remaining battery power prior to servicing.
• Replaces defective parts, reassembles battery, and fuses lead parts with gas torch.
• Reads oncharge voltage meters and adjusts charge parameters.
• Provides quality control on work performed.
• Travels offsite to evaluate, diagnose, and repair defective equipment and/or transport materials.
