Job summary

Albertsons is seeking a Battery Servicer to keep distribution center materials handling equipment powered and ready for production. The role includes changing, washing, watering, and repairing batteries, while maintaining clean battery rooms and refilling propane as needed.

You will operate forklifts and diagnostic tools, lift up to 50 lbs, wear PPE, and respond to radio calls for battery changes. CMMS is used to log work and labor hours.

Qualifications

• Ability to change batteries in various types of battery powered material handling equipment.
• Ability to maintain equipment batteries by washing, watering, and performing cable and connector repairs.
• Ensure that equipment battery rooms are kept clean and organized and refill propane tanks as needed.
• Ability to operate work related equipment such as hand tools, forklifts, pallet jacks and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently - Manual dexterity and overall coordination.
• Required to wear personal protective equipment, acid resistant gloves, face shield/safety goggles, and apron.
• Answer radio calls for battery changes.
• Use CMMS to complete work orders and book labor hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service batteries with washing, watering, and repairs to cables/connectors.
• Keep battery rooms clean, organized, and refuel propane as needed.
• Operate tools and equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and diagnostic gear.
• Support safe handling with PPE and safe movement of loads (lift 50 lbs).
• Respond to battery change radio calls and document work in CMMS.
