Job summary

Clarios is seeking a Quality Technician at our St. Joseph assembly plant to support in-process quality assurance in battery manufacturing. This on-site role combines work in the quality lab with floor activities and requires collaboration with production and engineering.

You will perform inspections, maintain SPC data, and assist with containment of nonconforming material. Strong analytical skills and experience with measurement tools and SAP are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (must be 18+)
• Experience using measurement equipment and documenting inspection results
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Basic experience with SAP or other MRP systems

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process inspections and audits across battery manufacturing operations (pasting, curing, COS, welding)
• Verify product characteristics (dimensions, weight, alignment, visual quality) against specifications and control plans
• Identify nonconforming material and execute containment actions to protect customers
• Maintain and track quality data, SPC charts, hold inventory, and calibration logs
• Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure accurate documentation, audit readiness, and compliance with EHS and quality standards
