Qualifications

• High School Diploma required and at least 3 years in manufacturing/plant environment.
• Some formal QA training is expected.
• Good writing and communication skills are essential.
• Basic math and statistical knowledge are useful for QA.
• Ability to use hand tools and learn machine controls.

Responsibilities

• Maintain QA records in hard copy and electronic form.
• Perform simple quality tests and inspections (casting/pasting, curing, voltage, gravity).
• Conduct acid receiving analysis and load acceptance.
• Perform battery autopsy analyses and identify failure modes.
• Assist QA Engineer with data collection and analysis.
• Understand the battery manufacturing process from receiving to shipping.
• Review wiring/paperwork; troubleshoot conditions affecting quality.
• Recommend equipment adjustments to improve quality.
