Job summary

Kyyba is seeking an experienced battery manufacturing engineer to lead cross-functional teams in tooling and process optimization. You will drive trial planning, data analysis, and knowledge capture while coordinating with production engineering, manufacturing, and R&D.

The role requires experience with battery chemistry and cell manufacturing processes, plus strong communication for senior leadership updates.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering or similar technical field.
3+ years of equivalent Engineering role experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in manufacturing production preparation role and schedule/deliverable management including project plans, process/equipment plans and procurement.
Experience in winding, cell assembly & electrolyte fill on automotive cells (2+ years, 5+ years preferred).
Experience in battery cell product, processes/equipment, and/or trial activity.
Experience coordinating with varied functions in large corporate organization and reporting to senior leadership.
Ability for weekend and shutdown work, overtime up to 25%, and travel up to 15%.
Knowledge in battery chemistry and trials to confirm materials and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional teams collaborating with equipment and processes.
Engage and resolve material, product, and process issues both internal and external.
Create and implement trial plans for confirmation and problem solving using TBP or Lean practices.
Create detailed technical and summary reports for organizational learning and development.
Input to process and equipment plans/specifications for kaizen and issue prevention.
Mentor and teach other members in battery knowledge and trial planning.
