Job summary

Publix Super Markets is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Florida to perform preventative maintenance on a variety of powered industrial equipment batteries and assist in other duties as assigned. You will operate CMMS, follow instructions, and adhere to safety standards daily.

The role requires lifting, night and weekend work, and the ability to obtain necessary certifications for equipment operation. A team-oriented, self-motivated attitude is essential to succeed at Publix.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old (or 19 in Alabama).
• Able to lift 40 pounds and work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to obtain certification and operate powered industrial equipment.
• Able to read, write and solve math problems.
• Must pass Computation, Following Written Directions, Space Visualization and Mechanical Aptitude tests before start date.
• Able to interpret and follow instructions; work on CMMS; be a team player.
• Demonstrates safe work habits and commitment to Publix.

• Performing preventative maintenance on a variety of powered industrial equipment batteries according to company policy; federal, state, and local regulations; repair manuals; factory specifications; and his or her own knowledge of the powered industrial equipment batteries and
• Assisting in other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old or at least 19 years old for positions in Alabama
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds
• Ability to obtain certification and operate powered industrial equipment

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
