Job summary

Sila is hiring a Quality Control Technician in Alameda, CA to perform analytical testing on production and development samples. You will report results, communicate findings to manufacturing and R&D teams, and help prioritize testing tasks across multiple projects.

The role requires a chemistry background, 2–6 years of lab experience, and proficiency with instrument techniques such as ICP-MS, XRD, XRF, BET, PSA, and SEM. ISO 9001 experience is a plus in this on-site position.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry preferred.
2–6 years of lab experience in research or manufacturing environment required.
Experience with instrumental analysis techniques typical of battery/inorganic materials labs (ICP-MS, XRD, XRF, BET, PSA, SEM).
Experience performing routine analytical work efficiently and with attention to detail.
Experience in ISO 9001:2015 or similar quality environments and in documenting results.

Responsibilities

Execute analytical testing in support of production, R&D, and method development.
Coordinate daily testing priorities with requesters and management.
Communicate roadblocks and issues to management and stakeholders.
Maintain and improve laboratory operating standards and procedures.
Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot testing equipment.
