The Materials and Failure Analysis Engineer at Eos Energy Enterprises leads the incoming materials quality program and drives root-cause investigations into battery failures. You will work at the intersection of materials, electrochemistry, mechanical, electrical engineering, and manufacturing quality to translate field returns and test failures into engineering fixes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in materials science, electrical, mechanical, chemical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in failure analysis, reliability or quality engineering in batteries/electromechanical systems.
• Hands-on experience with electrical/electrochemical testing, microscopy, thermal analysis or X-ray/CT imaging.

Responsabilités

• Lead RCFA on battery modules and systems from triage to corrective action.
• Design teardown, inspection, and testing protocols for failed units.
• Apply analytical techniques to identify failure modes and mechanisms.
• Develop and maintain FMEA documentation for cells, modules, and systems.
• Track failure trends and communicate findings to engineering leadership.
