Job summary

Factory Motor Parts Co in New Hyde Park, NY is seeking a route sales delivery driver focused on batteries. You will drive a Platinum transit van, deliver and stock battery inventory, and provide exceptional customer service on every stop.

The role requires lifting up to 75 lbs, a valid license, and a genuine customer‑first attitude. You’ll build relationships with accounts, upsell FVP, US Battery, Odyssey, and other brands, and enjoy competitive base pay plus commissions and full benefits.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older, with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Comfortable regularly lifting and moving batteries (up to 75 lbs) using proper technique.
• A genuine customer first attitude and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing accounts through reliable, consistent service.
• Deliver, stock, and pick up batteries at customer locations according to the established route schedule.
• Provide customers with information on battery offerings, marketing materials including product features and benefits.
• Recommend other FMP products based on customer needs.
• Handle battery cores and paperwork accurately and by company standards.
• Represent Factory Motor Parts with professionalism, safety, and reliability on every stop.

Job description

You'll spend most of your day driving your assigned route and working hands‑on with customers, delivering and maintaining battery stock while providing exceptional customer service. The role involves frequent lifting, loading, and the safe use of manual handling equipment to ensure timely deliveries and proper battery handling. As the face of the company in the field, you'll build strong customer relationships, and identify opportunities to enhance services.
