East Penn Manufacturing is seeking a Lab Technician to join our research and development team focused on battery technologies. You will work hands-on with various battery technologies, conducting experiments, and analyzing data to improve performance and safety in a modern laboratory.

The role involves tests on battery components, quality control, and documentation in our quality management system. A technical school diploma is required, with a BS degree preferred, and candidates should be

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to read and understand lab procedures and manuals.
• Familiarity with control programs and databases.

Responsibilities

• Test individual components of batteries.
• Perform weekly QC tests and document results.
• Evaluate battery failures and perform basic repairs.
• Construct test samples and execute specialized battery tests (life cycle, explosion, short circuit, float, capacity).
• Inscribe and maintain documentation in the quality management system.
• Maintain hygiene, housekeeping and safety practices.
• Ensure consistent production of high-quality products.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
