Job summary

Mitsubishi Electric Power Products Inc. is seeking a Battery Installation Technician I in Point Pleasant, WV. This field role installs, maintains, and troubleshoots industrial battery systems at customer sites nationwide, emphasizing safety and quality.

Expect travel, rigorous training, and collaboration with project managers to ensure timely, compliant installations. The position requires a high school diploma, willingness to travel, and basic DC power/electrical safety knowledge, with OSHA

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous UPS battery installation or telecom battery experience preferred.
Basic understanding of DC power systems and electrical safety.

Responsibilities

Install, remove, and replace industrial battery systems and cabinets per specs.
Assemble battery strings, route cabling, and torque connections to standards.
Perform battery testing (capacity, voltage, thermal) to meet performance specs.
Follow OSHA/NFPA 70E safety protocols while working with high-voltage DC systems.
Document installation records including serial numbers, torque logs, and test data.
Travel to customer sites and operate material-handling equipment.
Provide field troubleshooting and assist in resolving basic electrical issues.
