Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physics, Mechanical Eng., Electrical Eng., Chemical Eng., Materials Science or related field.
• Hands-on experience with experimental design, fabrication, instrumentation, and data acquisition for lab testing.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or similar programming languages.
• Experience with battery testing, electrochemistry, energy storage, or failure analysis is desirable.
• Experience with commercial battery cyclers, sensors, or automated test equipment is a plus.
• Strong practical engineering and troubleshooting ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Designing, building, instrumenting, and conducting laboratory experiments.
• Developing test plans and troubleshooting experimental setups.
• Performing engineering calculations and analyzing experimental data.
• Developing MATLAB, Python, or similar scripts for data processing, visualization, and test automation.
• Conducting battery cell, module, and pack testing and supporting failure-analysis investigations.
• Interpreting experimental results and identifying relevant physical or electrochemical mechanisms.
• Preparing technical reports, proposals, and presentations.
• Communicating findings to clients and multidisciplinary project teams.
