Job summary

The Research Foundation for SUNY at Binghamton is seeking a Process Technician for Battery-NY in Johnson City, NY. The role supports battery manufacturing equipment across electrode, cell assembly, and FA&T, with involvement in FAT, SAT, and SOP development to ensure readiness for production.

We require an associate degree or technical certification and at least two years of manufacturing equipment experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Chemical Technology or related field.
• Minimum of two years' experience operating manufacturing equipment, preferably in lithium-ion battery production or related areas.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement coordination, vendor interactions, equipment installation and FAT/SAT/UAT activities.
• Operate and assist in setup of electrode, cell assembly, and FA&T processes.
• Contribute to SOPs, checklists, and documentation for facility launch and operation.
• Assist in quality procedures, inspections, and data collection for QMS alignment.
• Support maintenance readiness and basic equipment troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
