Job summary

General Motors in Spring Hill, TN is seeking a hands-on supply chain coordinator focused on coordinating the Battery Assembly and Fascia Paint schedules.   • Support site compliance with shipment requirements and GM Global Manufacturing System processes.

Responsibilities

Job Description Responsibilities: Executes deliverables in support of the supply chain organization's business objectives. Responsible to ensure business objectives are met or exceeded in all areas including customer, quality, service, responsiveness, people, product and financial initiatives. Position communicates to all levels of the organization, within the function as well as other functions, suppliers and customers. Position is responsible for supporting relationship management with logistic suppliers and service providers. Create & maintain data analysis tools necessary to accomplish scheduling activities. Develop weekly Battery Assembly operating plan, and daily Fascia Paint schedule based on customer requirements and plant production plans. Understand any significant changes and communicate to the appropriate audience. Represent Spring Hill Battery Assembly on RESS sector scheduling reviews. Ensure daily build schedule is populated in production management systems for Battery Assembly and Fascia Paint. Update inventory management systems with daily & weekly schedule details, maintain production calendars, and support year-end system activities. Obtain or maintain 49CFR Dangerous Goods Shipping Certification. Adhere to strict compliance with 49CFR requirements for all outbound shipments. Coordinate outbound shipments from Battery Assembly for customer requirements or special requests. Communicate directly with customers to coordinate shipments and ensure financial accountability for all inventory. End-to-end management of the Battery Assembly scrap system, including processing corrections, updating user access, monitoring and responding to error reports, and publishing metrics to ensure organizational compliance. Support site compliance with CCA shipment requirements, including daily and weekly status monitoring, scheduling outbound shipments, creating outbound shipping documentation, and addressing discrepancies with CCA. Ensure processes and evidence are in place to comply with GM Global Manufacturing System elements and processes. Maintain flexibility and adaptability regarding functional responsibilities, which may change as needed to align with business requirements.

This role is categorized as onsite. This means the selected candidate is expected to report to a specific location on a full-time basis. This job may be eligible for relocation benefits.
