Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Science or related field; or an Associate's degree with 4+ years as Company Officer.
• Completion of 60 semester credits toward a Bachelor's degree at time of application.
• Bachelor's degree to be completed after appointment per offer terms.

Responsibilities

• Administer daily operations and supervision of a shift, battalion or programs and projects; schedule personnel and equipment; prepare and present reports; administer programs; inspect properties and investigate fires.
• Commands emergency incidents.
• Plans, directs and coordinates field and administrative personnel within the Department.
• Assist in preparing and managing assigned budgets.
• Develop goals and objectives for personnel under command.
• Coordinate training programs and ensure policy compliance.
• Represent the Department in meetings and liaison with agencies.
• Ensure staff resources and equipment readiness; supervise emergency operations.
