Responsibilities and Qualifications

As a Bather/Student Groomer (Groom Tech) at Pet Supplies Plus, you will:

• Encourage dogs to participate in grooming activities and celebrate their progress
• Attend free, paid training through the renowned Paragon School of Pet Grooming if aspiring to become a Groomer
• Familiarize yourself with grooming tools and equipment
• Learn to bathe and style dogs according to breed standards
• Receive a free tool kit worth over $600 upon hire when enrolling in the Paragon school

Engage with neighbors and enjoy the puppy breath! You are more than just a superhero with a flea comb; you are PAWsome.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing grooming services such as brushing, bathing, and nail trimming
• Learning and demonstrating skills necessary to become a groomer via online training
• Ensuring the safety and wellness of pets
• Building relationships with pet owners and recommending products and services to keep pets healthy and happy
• Maintaining a clean and inviting grooming environment
• Completing safety training certification
• Assisting team members during grooming downtime

Ideal candidates will have:

• Experience working with pets (not required)
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, bend, or stoop for extended periods
• Ability to review videos and take online tests
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must pass drug screening (where applicable), a selection test, and be at least 18 years old
