Job summary

Staffmark in Marianna, FL is hiring a Batching Technician for 1st shift, Monday–Friday, 5 AM–2 PM. Pay is $25.00–$26.00 per hour and includes competitive benefits.

You will accurately weigh, measure, and mix ingredients per approved formulas and schedules, monitor batch times and temperatures, and complete batch records with care to ensure product quality. Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of batching, mixing, manufacturing, beverage or related experience preferred.
  • Experience weighing, measuring and preparing ingredients to formulas and specs.
  • Familiarity with batch records, quality documentation and production reporting.
  • Experience operating mixers or other production machinery is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately weigh, measure, and prepare ingredients according to formulas and schedules.
  • Perform calculations involving quantities, ratios, weights, and measurements.
  • Operate mixing and blending equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor blend times, temperatures, and ingredient levels to spec.
  • Complete batch records and production documentation accurately.
  • Conduct quality checks (pH, Brix, color, taste) to verify consistency.
  • Monitor raw material inventory and report shortages or discrepancies.
  • Follow GMP, HACCP, safety and sanitation procedures at all times.
  • Clean and sanitize batching equipment and production areas.
  • Collaborate with Production and Quality teams and support downtime reduction.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment/process issues and maintain a clean, safe workspace.

Education

High school diploma or GED
Strong math skills (fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios, weights, measurements, unit conversions)

The Batching Technician is responsible for accurately measuring, preparing, and mixing ingredients according to approved company formulas and production schedules. Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Ability to work in a food and beverage manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise, and wet conditions.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, or adjusted schedules as production demands require.
Job Duties

  • Conduct quality checks and testing to verify product consistency, including pH, Brix, color, and taste.
  • Monitor raw material inventory and report shortages or discrepancies.
  • Follow GMP, HACCP, food safety, quality, and safety procedures at all times.
  • Clean and sanitize batching equipment and production areas.
  • Work closely with Production and Quality teams to resolve quality concerns and support production goals.
  • Assist with troubleshooting equipment and process issues to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
