Job summary

Altana AG in Chicago is seeking a manufacturing technician to ensure safe operations and execute batch processes according to tickets and recipes.

You will maintain labeling, documentation, communicate status across shifts, and work as part of a team, with 3+ years in a chemical manufacturing environment and SAP ERP experience preferred.

This role requires hands-on problem solving, strict adherence to batch records, and collaboration with the QA and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three years in manufacturing, chemical processing, batching, or similar environments.
• Experience following batch records, formulas, or work instructions.
• Experience using SAP or ERP systems for inventory and production reporting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment and follow safety and environmental procedures.
• Batch, weigh, measure, stage, mix, and transfer raw materials per batch tickets.
• Label accurately and document production activities.
• Communicate production status to the incoming shift.
• Flag and communicate quality or scheduling issues to supervision.
• Demonstrate teamwork and assist coworkers.
