Batch Plant Operator - County Materials (Manufacturing)

We are seeking a Batch Plant Operator for our customer, County Materials, in St. Louis, MO.

Job Duties:
  1. Ensures machine is kept clean and well maintained at all times.
  2. Performs preventative maintenance and troubleshooting the machine as needed.
  3. Works closely with Plant Supervisor to ensure that all concrete batches are produced in alignment with the production schedule.
Work Environment:
  • Works in indoor and outdoor weather conditions, including hot or cold temperatures.
  • Works near moving machinery and equipment, which could include electrical hazards.
  • Works in confined spaces.
  • Works in a noisy environment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Sitting.
  • Carrying/Lifting 10 - 40 Pounds.
  • Standing / Walking / Climbing.
  • Squatting/Crouching/Kneeling/Bending.
  • Pushing / Pulling / Reaching Above Shoulder.
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Ability and willingness to learn and be trained.
  • Safety-minded when performing tasks.
  • Ability to operate forklift or other mobile equipment preferred, not required.
  • Experience in the construction and/or building materials industry preferred, not required.
  • Occasional heavy lifting may be required.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • General understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Good math skills and attention to detail.
