GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Batch Plant Operator is responsible for operating all batching equipment at the production facility.


SALARY

Range: $25.00 - $27.00/hr, based on experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Coordinate with Production and Quality Control to ensure accurate batching and record keeping.
  2. Operate forklifts, trucks, front-end loaders, cranes, and batching equipment.
  3. Work with Maintenance for routine preventative maintenance.
  4. Order materials for the Batch Plant.
  5. Schedule deliveries with vendors.
  6. Follow safety procedures and policies diligently.
  7. Continuously improve batching processes and troubleshoot issues.
  8. Batch concrete as needed for each project.
  9. Perform calculations for mix designs and aggregate totals.
  10. Maintain cleanliness and inspect equipment regularly.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure.
  • Problem-solving skills and self-motivation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changes.
  • Experience or ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Leadership qualities to manage a team respectfully.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Lift up to 75 lbs occasionally.
  • Perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, bending, climbing, and using hands frequently.
  • Work for up to 12 hours per day, including heights from ladders and scaffolding.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Exposure to various environmental elements and safety risks.
  • Work outdoors year-round under different weather conditions.
