Job summary

Buzzi Unicem USA is seeking a concrete batch operator to batch loads to meet mix designs and dispatch orders. You will perform safe batching, maintain equipment, and ensure in-spec production for customers in a regulated environment.

The role requires reading instructions, leading teams, and basic computer skills, with a focus on reliability, safety, and timely delivery of concrete products.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years batching experience preferred.
• Able to read and comprehend instructions.
• Able to communicate effectively.
• Must be able to climb a ladder.
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to organize and lead people.
• Able to understand mix designs and unit conversions.
• Basic computer skills with Windows software.

Responsibilities

• Batch concrete loads according to mix designs and dispatch orders.
• Perform batching safely and in compliance with regulations.
• Batch according to job specifications and environmental rules.
• Produce on-time and in-spec concrete for customers.
• Print and file delivery tickets and assist with payments.
• Maintain plant equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Keep time and material records.
• Test concrete for conformance with mix designs.
• Conduct moisture tests and yield calculations.
