Job summary

Compana Pet Brands seeks a Batch Operator in Omaha, NE to oversee mixing, grinding, and batching operations. You will add ingredients, measure and blend raw materials, and monitor quality to meet production schedules.

The role requires a High School diploma and 1–2 years of batching experience, plus forklift certification and solid math skills for batch calculations and tolerances. On-site manufacturing environment with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of prior mixing, grinding or batching experience preferred.
• Must be forklift certified and able to show proficiency on a Stand-up RC forklift.
• Understanding of conversions such as volume to mass (i.e. gallons to pounds).
• Strong math skills with ability to proficiently calculate batch requirements and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring mixing, grinding, and batching operations run efficiently.
• Adding proper ingredients to mixer, grinder, or batcher according to formulation.
• Measuring, weighing, and blending raw materials according to established batch records.
• Inspecting mix during the process, assuring proper quality.
• Ensuring allocated batches are completed to meet scheduled deadlines.
• Thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing work area and equipment to reduce risk of product contamination and ensure product integrity.
• Identifying and organizing all incoming raw materials and storage, maintaining a first-in, first-out rotation.
• Transferring approved materials to designated areas within the warehouse.
• Completing and maintaining daily production documents.

Shift/Hours: 2nd shift M-TH 4pm - 2:00 am, Fridays as needed
