Aerotek in Alsip, IL is seeking a Batch Mixer responsible for safely formulating and mixing chemical batches by following batch sheets and SOPs. You will handle liquid and powdered materials, operate reactors, pumps, mixers, and milling equipment, and keep precise batch records.

This role starts with hands-on labor and progresses to full formulation responsibility with comprehensive training. Candidates should have 3+ years in manufacturing, experience in blending or batch mixing, and

Qualifications

• 3+ years manufacturing experience in production.
• 3+ years blending/formulating/batch mixing experience.
• Experience in chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing preferred.
• Proficiency with HMI/touchscreen/control screens for production equipment.
• Ability to weigh and measure raw materials accurately and follow batch instructions.
• Comfort with large batch sizes up to 4,000 gallons.

Responsibilities

• Attend daily safety meetings and apply safety practices.
• Review batch sheets to understand formulation requirements and steps.
• Formulate chemical batches by weighing and measuring materials per specs.
• Handle liquid and powdered materials safely from drums, totes, and bags.
• Operate and monitor reactors, pumps, mixers, and milling equipment.
• Keep precise batch records and monitor process parameters.
• Communicate batch status and issues to shifts and supervisors.
• Support packaging, staging, and order preparation as needed.
