EK Machine Co. in Fall River, WI is seeking a reliable Sandblast Operator to prepare parts by blasting per batch line instructions and internal quality standards.

The role requires careful attention to size, weight, and geometry and logging jobs in our manufacturing software. You will read batch sheets and blueprints, operate a forklift with certification, maintain a clean batch area, and support painting and inspection tasks to ensure adhesion and glossy finishes.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required; basic experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to follow batch line instructions and blueprints with accuracy.
• Forklift operation requires valid certification and safety awareness.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sandblast parts per instructions on Batch Line Sheet
• Understands how to effectively blast parts of different size, weight, and geometry to internal and customer standards.
• Logs jobs in manufacturing software.
• Reads and understands batch sheet instructions and basic blueprint reading.
• Keeps batch area organized and clean.
• Operates company forklift with certification.
• Ability to work with limited supervision while meeting productions rates and quality standards.
• Package parts per batch sheet instructions.
• Operates and understands pressure washing system to effectively wash iron phosphate parts for proper adhesion.
• Reads and understands paint inspection equipment including film gauges, delta e-meter, gloss meter, and completes visual inspection of parts.
• Works with supervision to schedule upcoming jobs in the batch area.
• Works in other areas of paint department as needed.
• Uses safe and proper techniques in moving and hanging large and small parts.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED; six months to one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos, as well as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
