Job summary

West Ottawa Public Schools is seeking a Daily Support Coordinator to provide daily BASP site support, help with staffing, and coordinate substitute coverage. The role reports to the BASP Director and requires strong organization and communication to ensure programs run smoothly across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, Human Services, or a related field preferred.
• Additional coursework in child development, education, or program administration is a plus.
• Experience supervising staff or leading a team is preferred.
• Knowledge of Michigan child care licensing requirements and training is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily support to BASP sites during before- and after-school program hours.
• Fill in at BASP sites when staff are absent or additional coverage is needed.
• Assist with finding and coordinating substitute coverage for staff absences.
• Complete daily check-ins at various BASP sites to ensure programs are operating smoothly.
• Communicate with the BASP Director regarding staffing concerns, student behavior, supplies, and site concerns.
• Support BASP staff with problem-solving and day-to-day program needs.
• Maintain appropriate supervision, routines, and expectations across sites.
• Complete other duties as assigned by the BASP Director.
