Job summary

The City of Lakewood is seeking a basketball scorekeeper to manage adult recreation leagues. Prior scorekeeping knowledge is preferred. This role is a variable, seasonal position and part-time with no benefits.

Responsibilities include setup of the playing area, operating an electric scoreboard, maintaining scorebooks, and reporting game results. Candidates should communicate effectively and be reliable and punctual.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• Experience in scorekeeping or coaching is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and ensure the playing area is safe and ready for use, including sweeping basketball courts.
• Operate an electric scoreboard and accurately keep points, game time, and scorebook entries.
