Job summary

The Village of Western Springs is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join the Recreation Department as Basketball Scorekeepers. Responsibilities include operating the scoreboard and recording statistics for travel and recreational basketball leagues.

Games are played on Saturdays and Sundays from November through March, with training provided for all new scorekeepers. The hourly salary ranges from $15.00 to $16.00 per hour, and this position does not include benefits.

Physical Demands/ Work Conditions

While performing the duties of this job the employee will be required to frequently walk, stand, sit, and drive. Normally, work hazards are not common, though care should be taken in the field. The employee will be required to occasionally lift or carry up to twenty-five (25) pounds, and push or pull up to fifty pounds. Occasional performance of overhead work, bending stooping, kneeling, twisting, climbing, and squatting are required.

Hours:

Games are held on Saturdays and Sundays from November through March. Hours vary based on programming schedule. Training will be provided for all new scorekeepers.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly salary range is $15.00 - $16.00 per hour depending on qualifications. This position does not include benefits.
