Job summary

Plainfield Park District is seeking scorekeepers for basketball season. This is a part-time position with shifts on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays; pay ranges from $17 to $19 per hour and depends on experience.

Responsibilities include operating the scoreboard, maintaining the scorebook, and enforcing game rules. Training is required, and hours vary from 3 to 12 per week based on the schedule.

Qualifications

• 1 year practical experience in sports related field with detailed knowledge as scorekeeper.
• Experience playing or scorekeeping any level of assigned sport category.
• 16 years of age or older.

• Ensure a safe and efficient environment by enforcing operating procedures; report inappropriate or unsafe practices to the Recreation Supervisor.
• Monitor field/facility and game progress. Respond to questions, complaints, and emergency situations; take appropriate courses of action, notify recreation supervisor whenever necessary. Problem solve.
• Handle 911 emergency situations while adhering to emergency procedures and notification process.
• Assist in collection of any outstanding paperwork from officials.
• Work hours will be specific to sport category, as directed by the Recreation Supervisor.

Plainfield Park District is looking for scorekeepers for Basketball season!

This is a part-time position.

Shifts include: Fridays 5:15pm-9:45pm, Saturdays 8:15am-1:30pm, 1:15pm-7:45pm, Sunday's 8:45am-1:00pm, 12:45pm-4:15pm. Must work one Saturday shift each week.

$17-$19/hour DOQ
