Job summary

Traverse City Area Public Schools seeks a Girls Basketball Director of Operations (Stipend) for the LEAP program at West Middle School in Traverse City, MI. The role runs Jan 2027 through March 2027 with a $3,283.63 to $3,546.06 stipend.

The Head Coach will guide student skill development, uphold discipline and sportsmanship, and work with the Varsity Head Coach and LEAP Liaison to implement practice plans and ensure effective communication with families.

Qualifications

• Experience in teaching, coaching, or youth development preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Understanding of LEAP mission, values, and goals.
• Ability to follow direction of Varsity Head Coach of the specific sport.

Responsibilities

• Assist LEAP administration and sport philosophy.
• Coordinate with LEAP Liaison and Varsity Head Coach.
• Maintain roster and communications with parents and LEAP Office.
• Ensure participant eligibility and safety in practice/sites.
• Collaborate with helper coaches on practice planning and execution.
