Job summary

Covenant Classical School in Naperville, Illinois is seeking a part-time boys basketball coach for students in grades 5-9. The season runs from November 1, 2026 through February 1, 2027, including an end-of-season tournament. The coach will lead practices two days a week (Wednesdays and Fridays) from 3:30-4:30 p.m.

Basketball Coach

Covenant is seeking a part-time boys basketball coach for students in grades 5-9. This is an opportunity to teach fundamental basketball skills and foster a love of the game in young players. The basketball season will run from November 1, 2026, through February 1, 2027, including an end-of-season tournament. The coach will lead practices two days a week (Wednesdays and Fridays) from 3:30-4:30 p.m. at Covenant's gym with the potential of adding occasional practices on other days. The coach will also identify similarly-sized schools in the local region with whom we can schedule games for 5th and 6th, 6th through 8th, and possibly 7th through 9th.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have experience coaching and/or playing basketball, as well as a genuine interest in working with middle and high school students. Candidates should model Christ-like character and resonate with Covenant's Christian and classical mission.
