Schedule: Full Time

Shift: 8a-8p or 7a-7p Monday-Friday and 8a-5p Saturday & Sunday

The role you’ll contribute:

Under the supervision of the Providers and reporting to the Practice Manager, the Basic X-Ray Machine Operator cares for patients and performs activities including laboratory testing and radiographic exams. Adheres to state, federal, and organizational guidelines to ensure quality care and patient safety, with support from the Clinical Excellence team. Maintains organization and facilitates patient flow, participates in customer service, and respects all relationships.

• Creates and owns the patient experience through customer service initiatives.
• Performs basic radiological examinations and clerical duties, including quality controls.
• Processes reference laboratory specimens, including venipuncture, handling, labeling, and tracking results.
• Documents procedures and assessments clearly and accurately per department policy.
• Assesses patients during check-in, documents medical info and vital signs, and identifies signs of abuse or neglect.
• Completes general orders and follow-up assessments, responds to clinical emergencies, and triage situations.
• Performs diagnostic and occupational medicine testing, including EKG, spirometry, audiometry, titmus, pulse oximetry, and forensic testing per DOT and Florida guidelines.
• Completes check-out duties, provides instructions to patients, and performs required Quality Control checks to ensure safety.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• CPR Certification
• Continued maintenance of Drug Screen Certification after hire

Preferred qualifications:

• Previous Basic X-Ray Machine Operator experience
• Previous urgent care / ED experience
