Schedule: Full Time

Shift: Rotating schedule, two days on, two days off (Monday-Thursday 8am-8pm), split Fridays (usually 8am-2pm or 2pm-8pm), alternate weekends (every other weekend, hours 8am-5pm on Saturdays and Sundays), and some holidays.

Location: Centers and Opportunities in Deland, Daytona, Palm Coast, Orange City, Ormond Beach, Port Orange

The role you’ll contribute:

Reporting to the Practice Manager and under the supervision of Providers, the Basic X-Ray Machine Operator cares for patients and performs activities including laboratory testing and radiographic exams. Adheres to guidelines to ensure quality care and patient safety, supporting the Clinical Excellence team. Maintains organization and facilitates patient flow, actively participating in outstanding customer service and respectful relationships.

• Creates and owns the patient experience by driving customer service initiatives.
• Performs basic radiological examinations, documentation, and clerical duties.
• Processes laboratory specimens, including venipuncture, handling, labeling, and tracking results.
• Documents procedures and assessments clearly and legibly, following department policies.
• Assesses patients during check-in, records medical info and vital signs, and observes for signs of abuse or neglect.
• Completes orders and follow-up assessments, responds to emergencies and triage situations.
• Performs diagnostic and occupational medicine testing such as EKG, spirometry, audiometry, titmus, and pulse oximetry, including forensic testing per DOT and Florida guidelines.
• Completes check-out duties and relays instructions to patients, ensuring safety through Quality Control measures.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a Basic X-Ray Machine Operator
• Urgent care or ED experience
• BCPR - Board Certification in Physical Rehabilitation
• Maintains Drug Screen Certification post-hire
