Schedule: Full Time

Shift: Schedule based on clinic needs, 8am - 8pm, 8am - 5pm

Location: Floating within assigned travel area, based in Maitland

The role you’ll contribute:

Reporting to the Practice Manager and under the supervision of Providers, the Basic X-Ray Machine Operator cares for patients and performs a variety of activities including laboratory testing and radiographic exams. Adheres to state, federal, and organizational guidelines to ensure quality care and patient safety, with support from the Clinical Excellence team. Maintains organization and facilitates patient flow, actively participates in customer service, and respects all relationships.

• Creates and owns the patient experience to drive customer service initiatives.
• Performs basic radiological examinations, quality controls, and clerical duties. Processes laboratory specimens, including venipuncture, labeling, and tracking results.
• Documents and reports procedures and assessments clearly and accurately, following department policies.
• Assesses patients during check-in, documents medical information and vital signs, and observes for signs of abuse or neglect, using age-specific guidelines.
• Completes orders and follow-up assessments, verifies information, and responds appropriately to emergencies and triage situations.
• Performs diagnostic and occupational medicine testing, including EKG, spirometry, audiometry, titmus, pulse oximetry, and forensic testing in accordance with DOT and Florida guidelines.
• Completes check-out duties, relays instructions to patients, and performs quality control checks to ensure safety.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience as a Basic X-Ray Machine Operator
• Urgent care or ED experience
• BCPR - Board Certification in Physical Rehabilitation
• Current Florida State license - Basic X-Ray Machine Operator (BMO)
• Continued maintenance of BAT Certification after hire
• Continued maintenance of Drug Screen Certification after hire
